Welcome to Global Citizens for Study Abroad! Our student program was created to raise awareness for study abroad and foster friendships among those who already have. Studying abroad and discovering other cultures is a great opportunity. We enjoy associating with people who bring a diversity of experience.
Global Citizens for Study Abroad is a place to freely interact with people who share a passion for travel, culture, and people. We have excellent activities that are fun, educational, and inspiring. We warmly invite you to participate in our upcoming projects, events, and activities!
Participation in Global Citizens for Study abroad is easy and free. All you have to do is e-mail the word “Join” to the e-mail address globalcitizens@byu.edu This will place you on a list to receive updates for our upcoming events.

Here are just two of our many activities and events:
Passport to Dance
Every November, Global Citizens for Study Abroad and the Kennedy Center host an international dance event called “Passport to Dance.” In the past, we have enjoyed pizza and an Italian soda bar while being taught dances by BYU’s Folk Dancers. Everyone is welcome, so bring friends!
Cook-Off
Each year, Global Citizens for Study Abroad holds an International Cuisine Cook-Off. Club members bring a dish they learned to make during their travels around the world. In addition to enjoying the food, we have a great guest speaker. Did we mention there are cash prizes awarded for outstanding dishes?
