Foreign Service Student Organization

FSSO

Welcome to the Foreign Service Student Organization.

Since 1999, BYU’s Foreign Service Student Organization has been helping students prepare for careers in diplomacy through effective networking, exciting events, helpful prep courses, and more.

How does it work?

The idea is simple. Hundreds of BYU students take the U.S. Foreign Service written exam (FSOT) each year. Even more students attend briefings, lectures, and info meetings. And we’re not even talking about the numerous alumni and friends who are currently serving around the world or are retired and living down the street.

Tap into the network.

Jump start your career.

Find out about the Foreign Service and have a great time while you do it.

Explore our web site, find useful links to other resources, meet the officers, or join the E-News listserv.

We also invite you to explore these web sites to find out more about the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Foreign Service.
