Our interdisciplinary structure creates a unique learning experience for students. You will develop a global perspective by taking classes from a variety of departments across campus. Faculty experts are anxious to share their expertise and knowledge. Meeting with an advisor early on will help you know how to best take advantage of the many available opportunities.
Academic Advisement
Schedule an appointment with an academic advisor who will help you create the right plan for you. Advisors assist you with:
- declaring majors and minors
- scheduling classes
- connecting with faculty
- learning about campus resources
- finding the right club(s)
- preparing for internships
- discovering study abroad opportunities
- exploring career opportunities
- planning for graduation
Successful students create a graduation plan to make the most out of college. A graduation plan helps to ensure that you complete all the requirements on schedule and helps to balance the class load.
Graduation plans may be created using MyMap online or by using one of our graduation planners. (Download a blank graduation planner. Chrome won’t save your changes, so edit in Adobe or Microsoft Edge. Or print it and fill out a physical copy.) Schedule time with an advisor who will review your graduation plan and provide recommendations based on your major and to meet your goals.
