Comments

This yearbook has very little narrative. It is mostly tables of data of various types. In addition to considerable statistical data it gives addresses and phone numbers of government agencies and major communications organizations, newspapers, TY and radio stations, and a number of private companies.

Comments

A low number of visuals and total words brought the overall point score down. However, the accuracy score was quite high, and the reviewers were impressed with the text. There was an obvious over abundance of information dealing with North Korea, owing to the death of Kim Il Sung in 1994, and to the tense nuclear situation in that country.

Comments

The reviewers felt that other news items could have been photographed. Notably, the talks between North and South Korea, and the democratic elections held in the south. However, the content of the photographs improved in '93. Previously only one photo was selected, usually of students and police at the height of a demonstration. The portrayal in this edition was greatly improved.
